The Storvallen hostel lies at the foot of the mountain, where the hiking trails towards the hiking camps Blåhammaren, Storulvån and Sylarna and the Norwegian border mountains begin.

Ski tracks are close by and during winter the downhill slopes at Storlien are within easy reach.

Experience a hostel near the mountain where years of tradition and winter storms can be felt all around. What began in 1935 as a simple cabin with heaters and wood stoves is today a modern hostel. Home-cooked meals are served in the light of the fire in the cosy dining room, and after a long day spent downhill skiing, hiking or exploring, guests can relax with a soothing sauna or a hot bath in the wood-heated bathing barrel.

The hostel is near the train station as well as the downhill slopes at Storlien. The piste is only 4 km away and in summer the hostel serves as a great base for hikes along Jämtland's Triangle - a series of hiking trails between the mountain camps Storulvån, Sylarna and Blåhammaren and back to Storulvån.

The Storvallen hostel is open year-round and welcomes groups, families and solo guests. Family parties can be arranged, or why not get married in our delightful mountain chapel.
